other provider, has been named 2007 Best Service Provider by Thuraya.
The award was given at the annual service provider forum held in Dubai
this week, gathering Thuraya’s 120+
distributors. It was based on significant and continual increase
throughout 2007 of Thuraya subscribers as well as increase in airtime
and market penetration for all Thuraya products (handsets and
terminals). Vizada is a key partner to Thuraya, winning
performance-based awards for seven years running.
In 2007 Vizada also further developed the NGO (non-governmental
organization) and media markets, providing Thuraya services to key
customers from these segments. In addition, Vizada has made a priority
of pre-selling Thuraya products and services in Asia-Pacific in
anticipation of the expected commercial launch in this region in the
coming weeks. This follows the successful launch of the third Thuraya
